Giovani Voci Artemìa

GIOVANI VOCI ARTEMÌA di Torviscosa (UD)

The Giovani Voci Artemìa choir is made up of girls aged 11 to 17 coming from preparatory musical and children's voices courses: a constantly evolving choral formation but always with the aim of taking care of and perfecting their voice. The repertoire ranges from sacred, profane and contemporary authorial music, trying to excite the new generations about choral singing and the beauty (and importance) of "making music together".

In May 2019 he won the first prize ex-aequo at the “Città di Riccione” Choral Competition and the special mention for the performance of the song “Il caso di una parentesi” by B. Bettinelli.

During the summer of 2019 he participated in the staging of the opera Carmina Burana by C. Orff together with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Choir and the Filarmonici Friulani youth orchestra, under the direction of maestro Igor Vlajnič.

In October 2019 he participated in the first performance of the "Eucharistic Masses" by the Friulian composer Gabriele Saro on the occasion of the 100th congress of the Friulian Philological Society. Also in October 2019, he won the Excellence Band at the "Corovivo" competition organized by USCI FVG.

In December 2019 and January 2020 he participated in the staging of John Rutter's Mass of the Children together with the USCF representative choir and the Filarmonici Friulani youth orchestra, under the direction of maestro Walter Themel.

In April 2022 he participated in the Choral Review dedicated to the choral compositions of Cristina Ganzerla at the Museum of Arts and Traditions in Rome

In August 2022 he presented the collection "Rime in voci-melodies for choir of flamelle" with music by G. Braida and M. Prez and lyrics by Pierluigi Cappello.

In July 2023 he participated in the concert "Una Basilica per tutti" together with the Mani Bianche choirs of Veledago, Turin and Cagliari, the Vocinvolo choir of Udine and the Filarmonici Friulani youth orchestra at the Basilica of Aquileia

In September 2023 he sang at the Teatro della Diga in Erto Casso on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Vajont massacre.

The choir registered with USCI FVG has been directed since its foundation by Denis Monte.
